MUCH MORE!
The
cause of wet basement problems vary from house to house. Many problems
do not show up for several years after the house was built.
The
builder may have applied an inexpensive tar coat on the walls that just
passed the building code.
Other
causes can include backfill that may have contained debris from the
building site (such as lumber and paper) that interfered with proper
compaction, or the grading and selection of the building site may have
been poorly planned.
Mother
Nature may have played a part in your problem with your basement if
underground springs changed course or tree roots spread. Even termites
in the foundation can cause the problem of a wet basement.
Correcting
the problem early may save thousands of dollars in damage to the
foundation due to hydrostatic pressure that causes the walls to crack,
buckle or shift, as well as additional losses sustained from water
damage to heating systems, appliances,
lifted tiles, mildewed carpet and loss of the full use of your basement.
Desert
Dry offers V.A.
and F.H.A. property certifications,
serving residential and commercial customers as well as government
agencies. Our prices are fair and competitive.
A dry
basement in your home gives you pleasure now and will return the cost
when you sell, because you will be gaining the full use and value of
your home.
Don't
pay for space that could be used for better living. Don't ignore a
problem that could cost you thousands of dollars to repair later.
